Blastronaut Review (Kimble (Shadecohr))

don't bother,
super light on content. Seems to just end after the demo. You'll get maybe 30min-1h worth of content, not worth the $18-$20 even on sale. Could be interesting if theres ever some actual content added but it need alot of work and polish to get there for this price range.
all weapons in game cause damage to the player - doesn't sound too bad except the mechanics of the game offer no means to "stay" in 1 spot and fire the laser type weapon as it seems to constantly push you back, then if hitting a rock/block close to you explodes and damages you... gets old real fast. the goo gun bounces off of any surface its already hit which seems to always, regardless of distance from you... come bouncing right back to where you are standing then explode those blocks causing you to constantly have to move. Also doesnt seem to damage the aliens (needed to clear gas/areas)...
The tools combined with the ridiculously tuned jetpack mechanics that seem to rocket you to the moon when stationary or jumping, yet if you have any downward momentum, cant even stop your fall... makes trying to aim/mine in any direction just... a chore and waste of fuel. Then if fuel hits 0 you die, didnt seem to be a way to recharge other than on surface or the odd machine you could possibly find/repair underground. And the one I did fine was horribly inefficient and resource cost vs Fuel gained just wasnt even worth it.
Basically, game have very little content, mechanics need some major refinement/play testing or options/customisation when creating your game. fun for about 30min-1hour then just... boring, no content/progression and nothing to do. If you're hoping for anything similar to terraria or valheim or corekeeper (steam recommended based on those games in library) you'll be very disappointed. see "Satori"'s review for more details and an accurate depiction of what to expect.
