BioShock 2 Remastered Review (Crazy Minh)

This game is excellent. The gameplay and story are just as good, if not better, than the original BioShock.
What I cannot condone, however, is the severe lack of stability this game possesses. To give you an example of how crash-prone this game is, I completed the last two levels of the game in just under two and a half hours. In that time, I suffered sixteen C2Ds, for an average of one crash every ten minutes of play. This figure was repeated to a similar extent throughout the entire experience of BioShock 2.
This game came out in 2010. That was twelve years ago now. 2K have had more than a decade to patch this game, and they have chosen not to. It isn't excusable to leave such a great game in such a poor state, let alone a game that is part of one of their flagship franchises. Hell, BioShock Infinite was more stable, and that game is terrible compared to BioShock 2!
Oh, and there's terrible audio compression with this game's entire soundscape. Everything sounds tinny and has terrible artifacts layered onto it. There's also some really bad horizontal and vertical flickering and tearing from time to time, even with VSync enabled, which kinda eats into the immersive nature of the game.
9/10 for the game; 4/10 for the technical quality of this "remaster". Buy on sale if possible (although you do also get the original PC port bundled with the remaster for no additional cost, although I have no idea whether that port is better or worse technically).
