Bio Inc. Redemption Review (kimberly...)

I am so sorry John Smith and Jane Doe.
REVIEW:
After 17.4 hours in this game - getting all 41 achievements all on lethal difficulty - I can definitely say that this game is satisfyingly difficult.
For starters, I can definitely see this game inspiring a lot of future doctors in the future since you can actually learn a decent amount of medical knowledge just by playing and reading the various diseases and treatments. The descriptions the game gives is pretty concise and thorough as to what disease and treatments it is. But the real meat of the game is definitely the campaigns and the reviews for the campaigns will be in the perspective of lethal difficulty.
The Life campaign is definitely the hardest campaign since you're thrown straight into the action by curing a patient who - most of the time - is at 60% health, on the verge of dying and not getting better if you don't do anything! By far the hardest scenario on the Life campaign is Multitask. The stress of managing two patients while not letting any of them die while you have a set limit of 365 days really made this scenario incredibly stressful in a great way. Lifestyles and Intensive Care being the only ways to prop up your patient's systems health is a great system and allows the player to either invest points in Lifestyles and Intensive Care to buy some more time or to treat the disease causing it but potentially letting the system fail. The existence of Intensive Care is an absolute godsend and the Life campaign would genuinely be impossible without it since using one will heal the system which in turn will heal the patient's overall health. The AI can be pretty unforgiving and will 100% wreck you for the first or second attempts but since it's an AI, it'll eventually make some predictable moves that you can prevent. My best advice is to just stay calm and focus, the worst enemy is yourself and you will lose 99% of games if you just let panic take over.
The Death campaign is a lot more easier than the Life campaign since most of the people you're trying to kill start of at 100% health with all systems fully intact (except for some specific scenarios). Since it's a lot easier than the Life campaign, the hardest scenario is Multikill, however it's not really that hard if you just focus on destroying one system and letting the others snowball. The best advice I can give for the Death campaign is to collect and spend points on risk factors, particularly the circulatory system since it can branch off to damage the respiratory, nervous and muscular system. All in all, the Death campaign is a fun side mode for the game but definitely not as hard as the Life campaign. Trying to kill the patient rather than curing them is a nice change of pace from just trying to cure people.
There are quite a few bugs in the game but I didn't find any of them to be game-breaking. For example, if you move around the screens a bit too fast then it just wouldn't load or if you press the Esc key while you're in the game menu then you just can't use the Escape key without clicking on the Bio Map and using the Esc key there. It's a bit frustrating but after 17.4 hours in this game, I kinda got used to it.
I haven't touched on boosters and versus multiplayer since for boosters, it's pretty boring to explain and there's a lot of videos and strategy guides detailing what the best booster to use for every single scenario. As for VS multiplayer... Well, good luck trying to find someone to fight against.
Overall, this game is a solid 8/10. I got this game at 70% sale and buying this game full price would still be a bargain if you love and enjoy these types of games. The mechanics being complex and interesting just make the game stand out quite a lot. Praise Pravus!
