Beat Saber Review (hyrsh)

Let's be real - this is the game you are getting your VR headset for aside from social VR.
While other games might be nice to try, this one will have you coming back.
It's a ton of fun long-term and a hell of a workout if you want it to be (be very careful when combining weight straps with a carpet that is not fixed in place). Do yourself a favor and immediately look into ModAssistant to easily install custom maps from sites like bsaber.com (most will require NoodleExtensions or MappingExtensions plugins to be installed).
Custom maps generally tend to flow a lot better than the stock songs and there are so many more out there. And do NOT hesitate to try maps you do not really like the music of, because some ware just SOOOOO much fun to play.
A tip for beginners - at first even low difficulties can be incredibly overwhelming. But just think of this as learning to read again. While at the beginning you have to actively identify every letter, eventually you just look at the word and it rolls of your tongue.
With some practice you literally forget what you're even doing because recognition and arm movements become more and more of a background task.
It is actually quite meditative.
Enjoy your favorite easy songs while they're still challenging, because once you soar beyond them, they will become INCREDIBLY boring.
Random side note: At first I did not understand why everyone was so into the Camellia songs because they sound atrocious for the most part. But revisiting them once I got good, I have to say they have truly impecable mapping.
