Battlestar Galactica Deadlock Review (Majiks)

Space combat is very stylish and both sound and visuals are pleasing. That aspect was actually very enjoyable.
The campaign is bad, you are blind on big map (no info about strenght of enemy fleets) and moving fleets around takes too long. The story and it's presentation are just horrible.
The central combat mechanics probably started as a very good idea, but the game is ruined by the fact that all ships can only be top up and never roll or pitch. This should have been a totally 2d space battle or with all 6 degrees of freedom. Currently many fights are decided by which fleet happens to spawn "higher" (there is no up in space!), because many ships have main cannons on top side and can't shoot as well below themselves, movement in z axis is slow and enemies can also keep going lower. Also turning your less damaged side towards enemies is the main manouver of the game, but if enemies above or below there are no options.
And lastly, why do all space combat games make weapon ranges so small as if ship pilots were hitting each other with sticks out of the cockpit windows???
