Battlefield V Review (*Shoots producer*)
A concise review of Battlefield V after around 400+ hours of gameplay.
PROS:
+ Outstanding Visuals.
+ Phenomenal Gunplay.
+ Great Soundtrack.
+ More In-depth Movement system that offers a wealth of traversal options compared to other
Battlefield titles
+ Well thought out gameplay mechanics that complement each other.
+ More focused on Squad play compared to other battlefields.
+ Decent amount of content.
+ A wealthy amount of Character cosmetics for you to grind for.
CONS:
- Not nearly as immersive as Battlefield 1 due to questionable character cosmetic choices.
- Lots and Lots of cheaters. Depending on what servers you play on, the amount may vary. Note: Cheaters seem really prominent on Asia in official servers, US and EU are a lot
more bearable but you'll have the most luck finding clean matches on Custom Servers.
- Shorter Live-service lifespan. DICE cut support on the game as it was getting good, so any
remaining bugs will not get fixed and there's not going to be any new content.
Overall, Battlefield V sets itself apart from others with its more hardcore and team play focused nature. It offers superb gunplay, a strong gameplay foundation, outstanding visuals, and a decent amount of existing content. Though a lot of it's short comings are apparent due to issues with cheaters and the lack of support.
I'd give this an 8.5/10 based how much better it's gotten and the fact on what it could have been.
