Battlefield V Review (Macros)
it seems like MOST games of BF5 nowadays have a hacker who is making the game not fun. I've got plenty of hours on various bf games- I don't mean someone sitting in the back with a tank or some ace pilot- I mean someone walling and aim-botting. i just left a game where someone was shooting through smokes with an smg and was 26-1 like less than 2-3 minutes into the round. Whats the point?
Pretty expected at this point that EA is trash and doesn't give one damn about the people who buy their games. It was rich when I read the CEO a few days ago talking about how inspiring new leadership from Respawn will fix the franchise- it's amazing that CEO has a job. They should hire someone with the brains and the foresight to tell their shareholders or whoever the hell is so important to please by rushing games while they completely abandon others- that if they don't please the fan's they're definitely not gonna see those nice juicy profits that they love squeezing from a player base who care more about their franchises than they do.
It's so pathetic. I would be embarrassed to own stock in this company- not because it's evil but because it's incredibly inept. You have to be STUPID to look at a car that's smoking sputtering and squealing and then take it on the freeway for a cross country trip- that's the equivalent of playing BF2042 and thinking it was ok to launch. And you have to be even STUPIDER to throw away your wallet and phone before starting the journey and that's the equivalent of EA of not banning blatant hackers in previous titles, or abandoning games like Battlefront just as they finally got them to where they should have been- of not doing the bare minimum to support older titles while releasing garbage. Normally other games aren't relevant to a games review- but when a company ends support for this game to release a less-than-mobile quality replacement, well here we are in 2022 with a review that doesn't need to talk about game play because there is none with so many hackers.
The truth is the only thing someone EA could say to defend themselves at this point would be pure and utter marketing PR speak and everyone knows it. Anyone who think it's a good idea to renew their franchise license contracts like Star Wars with EA again should also be fired- because although there is a chance a game will be very good, there is an absolute certainty EA will eventually do something to sabotage it. It's just plain stupid to sign with someone you know will eventually cost you money that would otherwise be in your pocket.
Fortnite and Battlefront 2 came out in 2017- and according to this Dexerto article an average if 24 million players log into Fortnite through out the day. How many battle passes need to be bought to make more money than Battlefront 2 is making right now? 1? Even if you had a tenth of those numbers and the game was free to play with no battle pass purchases, for content that could still be coming out, that's a lot of people being exposed to Star Wars- which Disney is I'm guessing actually PAYING Fortnite to do with events and skins DESPITE HAVING EA DEALS. It's STAR WARS there is no lack of things to draw from to add- and fan's are still doing it proving again they care more about EA's games than EA does.
EA cares about making money- they just aren't smart enough to figure out how to do it despite several franchises showing the way- including Apex. I'm glad the Respawn people are getting to take over at Battlefield or whatever- but any leadership that's above them who have proven they have no clue will eventually screw it up because they're greedy and they do not care. They got to the top by being talking empty heads who don't mind backstabbing, to paint a broad stroke on corporate America. Again- we all know that's true. I'm not saying everyone at EA is that, I'm not even saying everyone at the very top is like that- but clearly enough are that it's been an ongoing joke for years and years that EA is bad.
I will say this- I am glad they offered a 10 hour trial of EA pass because that's how I knew BF2042 wasn't worth my time even if it was free. The company lost money, they'll lose money next game too because of this game especially from the fan's who lost money buying it, and the only one who for sure got paid was the person who made sure it was released to make some deadline that had nothing to do with the game. Same people who don't slide enough money off to keep servers like BF5 clear of cheaters. I will say I had some luck on BF1 and BF4 servers- that were run by fans, again showing they care more about EA's games than EA cares about them.
