Battlefield 1 Review (AkizukiDenshi)

Battlefield 1 is by many considered to be the best Battlefield, it deserves every praise for its vibe and quality, and is definitely worth trying even today.
The most interesting thing about this entry is obviously the setting. The game is set during World War I, a time period that has not been explored much in video games. An impressive level of attention to detail was given to weapons, vehicles, character design and field environments. Being an era of technological advancement and social changes, there are familiar elements of modernity and romanticized facet of the Great War, the blend fills the game with a truly unique and novel feel.
Unlike other Battlefield games where single player serves purely as a glorified tutorial, this game has a campaign that tells the stories of different characters during the war. The campaign is written with a humanistic touch, represents World War I from multiple angles with a lot of emphasis on the its impact on the world as well as on individuals.
Overall, one thing Battlefield 1 did right is that, it knows what it is doing. As in, the game had a clear vision on what it will encompass, and made an effort to distinguish itself from other games of the same genre. After all, there really aren’t many World War I shooters in the market, and Battlefield 1 has probably the best accessibility.
This will probably be the last good Battlefield. The series lies in decay nowadays, newer entries are lost and confused. Despite being released years ago, having way past its life cycle, literally abandoned for support, this game is still well populated, that perhaps tells a lot.
