BattleBit Remastered Review (DutchCrunch)
3 devs are putting out a more polished 'Early Access' product than a AAA studio on release.
- Fun movement
- Fun gun-play
- Fun maps
- Snappy responsiveness
- High fps
- Good servers
- 0 Crashes (so far)
Edit (30hrs):
1. It seems the game's primary focus is casual fun which I also enjoy... But if you are squad leader, please know your role and put down squad rally spawns. Seldomly does any SL put down a rally or use any squad points at all for that matter.
2. The ability to edit loadouts from the menu and not just in game would be appreciated.
3. Being a new player and not knowing the maps and the clusterness that can come with the game, I would like to see an option for adding way-points to the compass i.e. capture points and money deposits. the icons fading in and out only in the 3D space can cause a loss of bearing, especially when respawning in different locations depending on your squad mates or currently captured points.
4. After some time with the game, while it's still plenty of fun, there seems to be a dissonance between different mechanics. You can run around and mantle fast arcade shooter style (COD) yet there are slower (mil-sim-esque) mechanics like reload, heal, consolidate magazines, & check ammo. The fast movement innately makes you feel like you can run and gun, until you are bottle-necked by the other mechanics. This is a punishing system if intentional. If it is, then so be it but It feels like the game itself doesn't quite know how it wants to play out.
To be clear, I still highly recommend this game
