Batman: Arkham Origins - Cold, Cold Heart Review (Jumala plays)
I can't recommend this expansion. It doesn't have very much going for it. I can list the things it does well for starters:
-The new suit is pretty cool.
-You get to go around Wayne manor.
-It's short, so i didn't have to suffer it for very long.
So, not a very big list of positives, the negatives however..
-It's very, very buggy. Even more so than the main game. There's a gamebreaking bug at around halfway, where if you restart a checkpoint, you can't progress the dlc anymore. You have to start a whole new game to fix it.
-There's really nothing new in it, only an unfreezing mechaninc (just holding one button) and given that it's an extremely short dlc, it should atleast give something new to play with, if it intended to be interesting.
-The final boss is super frustrating. Trust me, you won't have any fun with it. It's a worse version of Arkham City's Mister Freeze.
There's no cool takedowns you can do on him anymore, instead, you have to drop down some ice crystals, which do negligible damage, or do a wall takedown, which are frustrating to set up.
Also, the bossfight, for some reason, has some random thugs running around (?) Doesn't add anything to the boss itself, but only makes the fight even less bearable.
-The new freezer cannon enemies are not fun to deal with. They're just venom users with attacks that are a lot harder to dodge, given that they don't even have a counter icon, and the attack lasts longer.
All in all, i'd give it a 5/10, some points for the consistent voice acting and writing. If you really, really like the arkham games, play the dlc, but if you're a casual fan, i can't recommend even trying it.
