Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story Review (Groby dem sein Profil)

Walking Simulator in disguise

I really wish I could give this game a positive review, but jesus... this is the most boring game I've ever played.
I really wanted to like it, but there is literally nothing beside the fact, that it's looking pretty cute.
But to be fair, there are definitely some Pros:
- This game is not holding your hand
This is also mentioned as one of the major complaints, but I'm completely honest, I like the way the game introduced features and lets you just do your thing with it. You can re-read all intructions in the menu, if you feel like you missed something.
- No League of Legends knowledge required
- This is exactly how I imagined Bandle
I really enjoyed walking through the landscape and just looking around in this whimsical world.
Let's head on with the Cons:
- Whimsical on the first look
While walking through the different areas I expected to find secrets, hidden things or whatever - but there is pretty much nothing to interact with, except the same ressource farming spots copy pasted around. Portalfishing was at least a little consolation.
- Skill Tree is kinda boring
I think it would be more interactive if some of the NPC's would actually teach you at least some of your skills.
The Skill Tree ended up as an Emotion Orb grind to unlock yet another more or less useful skill.
- Skipped nearly every dialogue
There was just so much boring nonsense I had no patience for. As I mentioned on the skill tree dilemma, I was hoping for unique, catchy interactions that make me want to listen and learn. Walking through a world full of exorbitant old, wise, funny or playful yordle and no one is talking about anything interesting.
- Walking Simulator
I do not have a problem with re-visiting different areas to get whatever the game wants me to get there, but the entire fucking aura crafting system broke me. This is beyond annoying and unnessecary long. I do kind of get the point of this aura stuff, but the constant back and forth of replacing my entire home and also replacing all the workbenches so they can stand on 1 of 6 aura fields made me want to rip out my hair.
I don't even know if I'm ever going to complete this game... I really wanted to, because it was looking exciting and fun but it's just so tedious.
