Ballionaire Review (Shaman)
A charming game that sure has a great premise, but is working against itself with the progression system.
Very simple at first, place a few items and watch the ball bump around making various combos. The problem comes after that, when you are looking forward to cool items and better combos but the progression is the complete opposite.
The progression you were hoping for:
Ball spawning abilities for crazy numbers
Cool item combinations
New levels that extends the combos further
The progression you get:
Debuffs that makes balls despawn.
Less rerolls (=less cool item-combos because you are forced to pick items with no synergy).
Gimmicky levels that makes it harder for consequent hits.
(Infinite combos will make your game not end, which is very anti-climactic considering the goal is to get good combos)
The rant
Instead of making the player stronger and increase the money-goal to clear the stage they make you ewaker and weaker to see if you can still limp through. The most fun you will have is the first level and first difficulty, everything else is just anti-fun, which makes me recommend this game only to those who expect a few hours of laid back gaming since I also "beat the game" after about 10 hours played and had to sabotage my board since it would not end, and I got such a high score I could not press "continue" on the post-game screen because it had been bumped out of frame by the large number.
