Bad End Theater Review (super5aj123)
Completed, 6/10
Pros:
-Good soundtrack that improves the feel of scenes
-Decision tree is a very useful tool to find new endings
-Cute pixel art
-Entertaining story and characters
Cons:
-No Steam Cloud support, which makes it difficult to play on multiple devices, as you'd have to manually transfer saves.
-Since each route is pretty similar to the surrounding ones, usually with only mild changes, the game starts to feel a bit tedious after a while.
-The size of the text box in the starting menu had made me believe that I had already gotten all the behaviors at one point, which confused me when I still couldn't figure out a lot of the endings. The dev probably should have just had the ones not yet unlocked be labeled ??? or something instead of not existing at all.
-It feels odd that I can beat the game without seeing all the bad endings or even unlocking all the behaviors.
-Manually inputting the behaviors based on the map can be a bit annoying. I wish that they'd allow for the player to click a space on the map to auto-apply the required behaviors in order to reach it.
-I don't like that deleting your save is an achievement.
In the end, this was a decently fun experience, though I think it could use a second pass to add some quality of life features.
