It takes a very specific mentality to enjoy this game as it is. It is not easy to have fun.
No longer being updated, there are many fixes it could use.
Though dead, the matchmaking is still quite decent given the state of the game. Do not expect everyone in the match to be of equal skill, but the teams themselves are relatively well balanced, ignoring character matchups and map strengths, which aren't considered in matchmaking.
Every character can murder, if you're coming from another MOBA, do not imagine that there are roles or lanes in this game, there aren't. Everyone can do everything and SHOULD be everywhere.
Obviously they have strengths and weaknesses, but don't think any character in the game cannot delete you in under 10 seconds. Some can do so to an entire team.
The low TTK of this game makes it extremely unfriendly to newcomers, do not overextend. Get sustain/regen early and hold the line. The most important thing you can do as a noob is not feed, and not use up all the map resources constantly. Focus on defending your turrets and backing up your team. If you're alone, you're probably doing something wrong.
Steep learning curve, I highly recommend trying different characters because many are not beginner friendly, many are boring and many feel like they do nothing.
Don't play Ayla, you will learn bad habits with her.
While this is the most vulgar community I have ever experienced, mods in recent times have been incredibly aggressive in muting people. I bought the game, have been playing for over 7 years, have over 3000 hours, have written a guide and still I got permamuted for 1 comment in 1 night. I tried to appeal it but they did not reneg.
Intense game, I love it. It's unique and impossible to describe the dynamics until you've spent hundreds of hours familiarizing yourself with it.
