Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Review (Veraxus)

An excellent mecha game. Insane amounts of customization to suit a lot of different play styles.
It has native ultrwide support built in - a first for a From Software game. Menus and cut-scenes display in 21:9 while gameplay opens up to full 32:9, if you have a monitor that supports it! The game works really well on Steam Deck, too... right "out of the box".
KB&M players will be happy to hear that this game actually plays better with KB&M than it does with a controller. This is a first for me, because I *always* gravitate toward controllers for actions games, but the rapid aiming and gunplay makes the mouse a more natural, agile choice in this particular case.
There is no DLSS support I could see, but the game does support ray tracing and - even with that on maximum - the game runs really, really, really well. The graphics and environments are just... meh... PS4 grade, if we're being honest... so it's not like it's really pushing the envelope on graphics, but on the flip side this allows the action to flow fast and fluid as the game allows framerates up to 120fps (another first for From Software).
So should you buy this? Well, if you like mechs and fast, furious action games... From Software knows how to scratch your itch. Keep in mind this is a mission-based game and not a sprawling open world; there is also no co-op, just a single play campaign and a PvP mode that I have no interest in whatsoever. If the idea of piloting big mechs strikes your fancy, as well as customizing every part to suit your play style (fast and agile, or slow heavy-hitter, or anything in-between)... give this a try. Like most From Software games, you are not likely to regret it.
