I have spent much more time playing the non-Steam version.
Bohemia Interactive should make this game (and its Linux/Mac version) free-to-play because it doesn't support them anymore.
It's wrong that Bohemia Interactive sells the Linux/Mac version separately. Other publishers provide free Linux versions of their games.
Both Codemasters and Bohemia Interactive should warn people more clearly (on their websites, in the game, and on the Steam Store page of the game) that versions of Operation Flashpoint: Resistance from 1.75 to 1.91 may delete your data. There are some people who still play old versions of games. You can't fix your problems by ignoring and hiding them. This "attitude" actually worsens your situation.

Even though this game is from 2001, it has many problems, errors, and limitations to be a "hardcore and realistic war simulator" or even playable. For example, you can still fall off the ladder of a radio tower because of a game defect. I have read that this game has problems with modern PCs. Very few people still play the multiplayer mode. And this game is not vegan friendly.
The developers should have used system requirements of premium PCs of the early 2000s instead of common PCs during the development of this game. But the developers were more interested in creating "Easter eggs" than fixing and improving their game.
