Ark: Survival Ascended Review (Resmelodi)
As someone with over 8,000 official game hours in ARK: Survival Evolved and owning all the DLCs, I am writing this. This game, fundamentally, has been an unparalleled experience where I have truly gotten my money's worth over the years. If played on local or unofficial servers, aside from minor bugs, it can be a highly satisfying game. HOWEVER;
Whoever the developers or founders of the game are, the decision-makers for Ark Survival Ascended have acquired the game, not providing alternative servers but shutting down ASE Official servers, seemingly only to exploit players' money. Let's not forget this reality!
1-The ongoing issue of cheats since ASE still persists. Wildcard hasn't been able to do anything about it in the past and still can't. Hacks like Speedhack, Godmode, and Duping were in use within a month of the game's release. All the effort you put into taming your dinosaurs can be wiped out in 10 minutes.
2- Factionalism and gang formations exist within official servers. Tribes, which should ideally be limited to 6 members, have 10-15 players. Teaming up occurs. The alphas of the server demand tribute to let you access critical areas and Artifact caves for boss fights.
3- The presence of TEK structures on every server ruins the essence, realism, and adventurous spirit of the game. With just a single rifle, you can wipe out all turrets, x-seeds, and entire bases. Servers without TEK structures, like Small Classic Servers, should be established!
4- Visual changes with console commands create a significant disadvantage for other players in PvP. The vast green area that covers most of the game becomes functionally useless, making the visual experience worse than ASE. With a single command, all trees and rocks can be removed, leaving only structures, dinosaurs, and players visible.
In conclusion, having forcefully sold us the game for a substantial amount like 1300 TL, you are obligated to provide us with at least a cheat-free game and address these concerns. Prioritize fixing these issues before introducing new dinosaurs, weapons, DLCs, or events!
