Arashi Gaiden Review (A Monument to Non-Existence)
Arashi Gaiden is at the same time the spiritual sucessor of Wired Dream's Red Ronin and a new entry in the Pocket Bravery universe. And this is a match made in heaven, if by heaven you like to see pixel blood and guts spread all over the place while you strategically dash around traps and through enemies.
As a fan of Red Ronin, I am amazed by how this game perfects Red Ronin gameplay with new ninja-inspired features and mechanics, while maintains the challenging playthrough from previous Wired Dreams titles. Have I mentioned pixel blood and guts? The pixel art is perfect, animations are breathtaking, one of the best pixel art violence of the last years.
Soundtrack is epic and captivating as well, sound effects are spot on and bring a precise layer of heaviness to the slashing of skin, flesh and bones of enemies.
It's been a delight so far and I might add up on narrative, but first, I gotta beat it!
I definetely recommend this game (and also check Red Ronin if you enjoy this one)!
