Animal Shelter: Vet Clinic Review (Siamese55)
Have to say, I overall enjoy this DLC. It was more thorough than I expected, with not only new minigames for treatment but a plethora of new conditions and ways to treat them. You even have the option to start analyzing some samples yourself and treatment options for horses. It definitely rounds out a section of the game that had plenty of room for expansion.
This said, it can be a chore. It is rare for me to get a new pet available that does not need some sort of extensive medical treatment anymore. The real killer here is the timer between treatments, meaning you either stare at the current charge on the exam table for three minutes or keep swapping through the waiting pets the entire time.
Further, any pets you adopt yourself will fall ill fairly often. I am not sure how this has been implemented in the code, but if not already the animals need their own individual medical cool downs. At least 3 in game days; maybe a week. Also, it sucks to get the message "Pet is looking bad" while at a completely different shelter; I have to drop everything at one shelter to go tend to the adopted pet at another location because the health sinks despite me being away.
I still recommend it because I enjoy the fun it offers, but I do I understand why it is too much for some.
