AI Limit Review (thomasleeod)
So far, so good.
Pros
-Cool artstyle, good outfits, and some absolutely insane monster designs.
-The combat is really good. Every weapon feels good to use, and the parry is buttery smooth.
-Not a ton of the usual non-fromsoft soulslike crap ("let's put in 5 poison swamps! Just like miazaki!)
-Good music
-Loading times are super fast
-Good chinese voice acting
Cons
-While Necros boss design is awesome, it makes it really hard to tell what he's gonna do
-Upgrading weapons is not fun. This is a gripe I have with most soulslikes. I want to try out cool new weapons and actually have them be a viable option. At least give me the ability to buy more than three upgrade shards or whatever from the shop.
-Since your defense is partially tied to your armor, you have to look like a complete idiot most of the time.
-The UI is cut off on the right side for some reason. I tried resizing the window, playing in windowed mode, nothing helps.
-The dialogue and story are not great. Some of the lines are really awkward, and I generally don't know what I'm trying to do.
-Why does everyone have a fantasy/Chinese name, except for Shirley? Why?!?!?
