Age of Mythology: Extended Edition Review (StinkyAdventurer)

Age of Mythology is one of those timeless games that never gets old, no matter how many years go by. I’ve been playing it since I was a kid, and even now, I still find myself going back to it — it’s just that good.
What made this game extra special for me was that it was a family tradition. My bro and I used to sit and watch our dad play for hours, completely fascinated by the epic mythological battles and strategies. Eventually, we picked it up ourselves, and now we play together, battling it out or teaming up in some of our favorite campaigns and multiplayer modes. It’s one of those games that has created so many great memories for us over the years.
Age of Mythology stood out to me because of its unique combination of strategy gameplay and rich mythology. Every civilization feels distinct, with its own mythological units, god powers, and unique strategies. As a kid, this game sparked my love for Greek mythology, and it’s honestly what got me interested in learning about mythology in general. The graphics, though a bit dated by today's standards, still have their charm. The art style and attention to detail made the world feel alive and magical. The soundtrack is another highlight — it perfectly captures the epic feel of mythological battles.
This game has endless replayability, and it´s a true classic that has stood the test of time. If you’re a fan of mythology or strategy games, this is definitely a must-play.
