Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition - Knights of the Mediterranean Review (tom bynna)
AoE III is simply great fun to play. There is plenty of challenge and variety, but without the steep learning curve that is usually involved in an RTS. Don't get me wrong, though. One does learn a lot of tactical and strategic tricks and gambits, the further one ventures into the spectrum of opportunities AoE III offers. Thought invested into the type of strategy you want to adopt and selecting your Home City shipment cards accordingly, yields up a virtually infinite variety of interesting combinations and options. Having said that the game was already great fun to play, I can definitely add that the "Knights of the Mediterranean" expansion has raised the bar yet again. Apart from the two new civilizations (Italy & Malta), the variety both in terms of maps and gameplay has greatly expanded the game and doubled the level of enjoyment. This is truly the "must have" RTS game that anyone can learn to play and enjoy. Highly Recommended.
