A few more things to take into consideration, I love detective games and in terms of story I think this game might be alright... however! When the gameplay is so mind-numbly tedious and boring it drops off some points. It's like they're taking direction from old isometric games like OG Fallout and a smidge of Disco Elysium. Only everytime you interact with an object, character or item there's a mini cut-scene that takes time loading in and out, to move around the rooms freely you'd need to use your mouse wheel to spin (and you can't move and rotate the character, you have to wait until you're stopped rotating or spinning).
I've played the previous entries of this series and while they're not as enjoyable as some of the Frogwares games or other notable detective games on here, I found some level of enjoyment. This game though, feels like a step in the wrong direction or maybe it was made for mobile phones first before making the switch to pc. Compared to the earlier games in this series, this feels like a downgrade. Oh and no controller support, kinda?
And I know it's early days, but there's a few bugs that add to the movement issues I've been experiencing - like I would click on a door and sometimes the Detective will walk the opposite way and hug a corner or just spin on the spot.
Be cautious when thinking about getting this game, I had high hopes for this to be better than the last game - but this one has a serious pacing issue.
