Adore Review (Nobbler)
ADORE is a game with a high degree of specialized play. You, the Adorer, have been chosen to restore the ancient order of Draknar. To accomplish this, you must venture out into different places where you encounter wild and fantastic creatures. Some of them, you must put to rest, others, you will recruit to aid you. That, is where the game becomes special.
Each creature you collect has a different ability, type, and stats. This allows the player to customize their team. You can build a team that suits your play style, and also helps to win certain types of battles.
Your creatures become further specialized as you create synergy with the other creatures in your team. When creatures of different types work together, they both have the potential to become stronger.
Feeding your creatures can boost their stats, and eventually as the creatures spend more time adventuring with you, they gain levels. As you play, you find ways to further improve your team - but I leave that to you, Adorer, to discover those ways for yourself.
This game is a top-down 3rd person dungeon crawler procedural zone generation. The game is in Early Access at the time of this post, and Cadabra studio is actively finishing the game. You can expect very good support from them in both Steam, and Discord. They listen, and respond to players. Be ready for adjustments in gameplay though. Early Access games necessarily change, and sometimes we like or dislike those changes as players. Remember that part of your adventure is helping this game to finish by giving feedback, suggestions, and bug reports.
In my honest opinion, this game is easily worth more than they are asking. Many hours of content and gameplay, even if it doesn't look like there is a lot to the game at first. As example, there is currently no co-op, or PvP, so it might seem like there isn't much to it.. but there truly is. The depth is in the creatures you collect and customize, and in the rich storyline. The story is great! I easily find myself buying-in with the characters and progress, and it will only get better with time.
So go on, get it.
