A Story About My Uncle Review (Kaasblokje)
I uh... genuinely am unsure how to rate this game, for now it is a positive review but it is so close to the edge that I honestly might flip it to negative on any day.
This game started amazing, I had such high hopes but the game just crushes them all so suddenly...
The game is a platformer, and a fun one at that, it features an gorgeously fascinating world I truly wanted to know more about but never got any answers to, I loved the characters I met and had a great time playing the game, only for it stop so suddenly dead in it's tracks that it still leaves me frustrated everytime I see this game pop up in my steam library years later. I truly loved what this game offered until it just.. rammed into a dead end.
The game features a mysterious fantasy world which keeps opening up more and more to the player during the game only for it to come to the most abrupt end I've ever seen in a game. I truly cannot describe this in any other way than stopping it's story completely where normally would be the middle point of any other.
Furthermore I am also an achievement-hunter to a small extent and one of the achievements is quite easy while all the others are absolutely brutal, this darn game has been a thorn in my completion % for years now.
The game is only lasted 2.5 hours for me until I reached the end, and I spent 30 minutes if not longer than that on a random goofy challenge I wanted to do. with a $10 price tag that is very questionable, at least this game is almost always for 80% or more on sale somewhere.
Truly the biggest dissapointment I've had in my gaming history but the parts it did have were truly enjoyable. I am genuinely unsure if I should keep this review as positive or make it negative.
