A Space for the Unbound Review (COOLWAFFLE)

Okay, I dont think any game deserves a bad review unless its truly terrible in any way. So I will give this game positives for its interesting story and artstyle. but what made this game truly unberible was how tedious it was at some points

like, you cant just do something else has to come up and get in your way so the game can have more time. and the story is so intriging that it makes some of the filler feel like a slog. an example of this is chapter 3, when you have to get to the theatre, theres a broken down car in the way. Why? so it could show that the symbol was a flower company? they didnt have to make you backtrack aaaaalll the way to the other side of the map and find the tire repair guy, and if you don't know who the hell the tire repair guy is, your forced to run across the map and back looking for a dude in a coorner that barely has any hints that hes a tire repair guy.

and dont get me started on chapter 2, there is sooooo much unessesary filler in chapter 2.
so, you need to make your girlfreind feel better by buying a cake, but before you can get to the pastry shop, 3 goons block your patch and you cant fight. so what do you do? you go into the arcade and "learn to fight" by helping an old man beat a video game in his dreams, only to get a kinda lame fighting system (what if he had uniqe moves and them you hit buttons? like mario and luigui) after you go to the pastry shop. you got the cake right? noooooo the chef quit and took all of the ingredients with them! so you need to spend 20 minutes running around finding diffrent items and catching chickens to get the ingredients, but can you make the cake? nooooo the person there sucks at cooking so you have to find the pastry chef and get them back. you think you would just talk to them right? NOOOOO you have to go into their dreams to rig a cooking competition. you would think everything you need is in the dream right? nooooo you need to go back to the real world and waste time running around to get 3 things that rig the competiton. and when you do that, you can finnaly go back and get the cake... until A BULLY FROM EARLIER COMES ALONG AND STEALS THE CAKE and a bunch of other stuff happens leading to going into the bullies dream and "freeing" him. then your girlfreind (who can manipulate reality btw) erases him from existence.

there was so much stuff in chapter 2 that just made me think "why?" we didnt have to go to the arcade for that crappy fighitng mechanic, we didnt have to find 3 diffrent items for the pastry chef, you could remove those parts, and the game would be the same!

I will still finish the game, and maybe edit my review based on that,
