A Little to the Left: Seeing Stars Review (blitch)
Reviews had me thinking this DLC would be unrecognizable in quality from the base game, but it personally felt like a very reasonable step up - I still had a gratifying experience. I definitely encountered a handful of frustrating moments, but I'd still consider these sparse throughout the full DLC. It should also be noted that this DLC is much more focused on puzzles (where Cupboards and Drawers I believe is more focused on organization)
Difficulty - This was definitely a step up in difficulty from the base game like other reviews have mentioned. However, as someone who found base + C&D to be fairly easy, I feel like this difficulty increase generally comes from intentional design (rather than from puzzles being consistently unintuitive, as some other reviews suggest)
Mechanics - Puzzles were a little bit more finicky on average compared to base game, but generally not enough to be truly frustrating for me (nothing came close to that damned box puzzle near the end of base game). I didn't experience any of the game-breaking bugs (with snapping or with solutions not registering) that others here have mentioned, so I believe most of those have been fixed. It's still disappointing and worth noting that these were in the game at launch.
Solutions - I personally noted only ~2 solutions out of the 100 as truly feeling unintuitive - one I felt was too similar to other solutions within the same puzzle to be distinct, and the other I felt lacked a pass condition for a nearly identical setup. There were a small handful that hinged on factors I personally considered to be a little too hard to notice, which were frustrating (but I considered my own issues with these ones to be also explainable as skill issue)
Recommendation - I would recommend this if you enjoyed the base game's puzzle aspects and did not encounter much trouble with difficulty. Would only tentatively recommend otherwise; I would still prefer not to subject someone I love to the experience others here have had ðŸ˜
