A Game About Digging A Hole Review (Nucini - TTV)
I will be very fair here, this game has one EXTREME pro and one EXTREME con. I will mark it as a positive game but honestly, the call is yours. THIS IS A NEUTRAL REVIEW.
The gameplay loop is EXTREMELY addictive. I never saw progress be delivered in such a way like this game does. Every ore collected, upgrade bought, hole dug, every single little thing is like crack and I really, REALLY mean it.
I bought the game and started playing no stop. No pauses or breaks, nothing. It got me hooked like if nicotine and meth had a baby but actually heroin is the real father.
Now, here is the con, and it is SO, SO FUCKING CRUEL that it was enough for me to mark this game as "Neutral".
I played it once. I beat it in 55 minutes. Just like our beloved friend cocaine, its the most amazing sensation but then you come down very shortly after. I tried to get another little taste but the replayability isn't it. It certainly is there, but it is like snorting wheat flour.
To the dev: Do a sequel. Make it so the game doesn't last half an hour. This was something great, but lasted very, very shortly.
