30XX İnceleme (angelsenvy228)
I have to agree with a lot of the other negative reviews. I loved 20XX, and I even really enjoyed 30XX at the start of EA for what it was. However they have drastically scaled up the base difficulty to a pretty insane level at this point, yes they have added an assist mode and maybe I'll try that out at some point, but it just feels really bad to have finished 20XX tons of times, endless mode to sky high levels, and the older 30XX build to complete tons of runs consistently, to come back to the state it is in now and not even be able to complete the first level lol. The boss health is way too high for the first boss IMO, the level itself is fine and feels just how it was before but the boss health has been scaled up to what feels like at least double what it used to be, plus they still/maybe more spam all kinds of screen covering attacks that are impossible to avoid damage from if you have not just memorized the whole fight sequence. The first level and boss should be close to free IMO if you are experienced at the game and mega man games, then scale up the difficulty as people get augs and cores and powers etc.
I'm one of those people that is usually not going to put the training wheels mode of a game on in principle, plus with the entire entropy system there to make the game MORE difficult, there is just no reason to roadblock people in the normal difficulty in the first level. The game also feels way slower than 20XX as others have stated which I really don't like, I really love the fast paced flying around of 20XX. You can accomplish that in this game but you have to spend a ton of resources on speed to get there and you won't get it to a speed that feels good until you are at least halfway through your run. There are also the chunks with just completely pointless puzzles/platforms in a room you can just walk straight through... why? It's really immersion breaking for the level design. I wish they would spend more time making the chunks more interesting and adding exploration secrets/jumps/areas with rewards (they are basically the same chunks that were there at the start of EA as far as I can tell) rather than cracking out the difficulty to where you need a lethal dose of adderall to play the game.
Hopefully they improve some of this before 1.0, the game can be really good, the core is there, but they have just balanced it to feel worse and worse as time has gone on. I want to zoom zoom and dash around and bounce off walls, not trawl slowly through levels to fight a dark souls bullet hell boss with 50 platforms in the way keeping me from shooting them. Assist mode should be for people who literally can't play the game or are brand new lol, not something series veterans should have to turn on just to play the game. For the amount of content that is in the game, you are going to get bored and frustrated way before you ever think about turning the entropy settings on.
Oh yeah, and Nina's base blaster shots need to make it full screen, that's just another incredibly annoying thing... You finally find a place you can stand safely to spam some shots at a boss and it's too far away for your blaster to even reach the boss lol.
