What's next with Slopecrashers
Hey everyone, hope you all had a nice holiday!
I wanted to do a little post about what I am working on atm and what is happening with Slopecrashers in the next few months:
Upgrading the Engine
Since Epic stopped supporting my engine version (Unreal 4.27) recently, I now had to upgrade to Unreal 5, which is not a small feat. This will make things like cross play possible and overall future proofing the game.
Good news is, most of the game already runs on my machine in Unreal 5, but there is still some issue that I need to fix before I can push the UE5 version with all the improvements that come with that live here on steam!
Bringing the rest of the game online
Many have asked to play campaign and grand prix online - so that is also on the agenda and I was already in the middle of testing and implementing all the game modes for online play, before I migrated everything to UE5. So once the migration is done, this will be the next thing you can expect.
I am planning more things with the game which I will talk about after the migration is done, so for now this is my priority (plus fixing all the reported issues ofc), so please let me know if you are experiencing any bugs / have feedback / suggestions / etc. so I can add them to my todo list.
In the meantime, you can join the Discord community where some members are already starting to speedrun the game in various categories or just chat about the game. And you will hear more from me very soon.
Stay fresh!
