I’m Aoki, the producer of “Legacy VIRTUA FIGHTER Project.”
Wow! Time has flown – it’s been almost three months since we released "VF5 R.E.V.O." Id like to express my sincerest gratitude to all of you streaming and holding VF tournaments and events in various countries and regions around the world.
Today starts our Golden Week Sale and brings with it our largest "VF5 R.E.V.O." discount yet, with up to 35% off – including the 30th Anniversary Edition. If you’ve been curious to see what Virtua Fighter is all about, I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and step into the ring!
Next, Id like to provide an update on our progress with the highly requested "Replay” feature that we are in the process of implementing. This feature will allow you to select and view replays of matches from online and offline modes. In replay mode, you can check real-time information such as input history, command inputs, attack-related information, frame data, etc. We are also exploring more ideas to enhance this feature.
Even better, you won’t have to wait long for this update. Replay Mode will be coming very soon in the not-too-distant future. Beyond this, we are checking through our Discord and social channels to see what other features you’d like to see next. We greatly appreciate your continued feedback, and I will be certain to update you on what features we come up with next.
Finally, we recently released the participation rules for the "VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship" (Japanese only; other languages to follow shortly). The preliminary tournaments will be conducted both online and offline in each region. For the online preliminaries, we have set regulations such as limiting participants to specific regions, so please check the guidelines to ensure your participation eligibility.
Coming up next in a few weeks will be the VF5 R.E.V.O tournament held at "EVO Japan 2025" and I am looking forward to meeting all VF fans there! Thank you again for your continued support of VF and Sega.
