New Champions
Nico Minoru
Nico Minoru was a relatively normal goth teenager until she and several of her childhood friends accidentally witnessed their parents performing a human sacrifice. With the help of the Staff of One, stolen from her own mother, Nico and the other Runaways managed to defeat their parents. They were then forced to quickly mature into full superheroes by the resulting power vacuum in Los Angeles.
Karolina Dean
After leading a somewhat normal teenage life, Karolina Dean and her classmates discovered their parents were part of an evil organization that sacrificed teenagers to gods to create a utopia. After running away and eventually shutting down the organization, the group forged their own bizarre family, doing their best to move forward into the future, even if their past manages to keep up with them wherever they go. Despite the hiccups and constant teen drama, Karolina uses her Majesdanian powers to make the world a better place. As long as she has Nico, her friends, and the sun in the sky, Karolina always finds a way to shine bright!
Champion Updates
Captain Britain Rework
A Fresh defensive threat in The Contest, with Neuroshock at the forefront of her kit.
Tankier than ever, with Safeguard now in her kit, she’s going to need a lot more from the attackers to take her down.
The ever present threat of Neuroshocks, and her Psionic mode being deadlier than ever, players are going to need to be very intentful with how they answer her.
As an attacker, expect to ramp a ton of Prowess passives, and dish out massive DOT damage.
Fantastic FORCE Saga
With so many dangers in The Battlerealm, the Fantastic Four have wisely decided to expand their ranks into The Fantastic FORCE. Each OG member of the Four is now a team captain recruiting Champions (and hopefully The Summoner) to assist them in defending The Battlerealm. Collect Research Grants throughout The Contest to trade in for up to a 7-Star Mister Fantastic!
Event Quest – At Any Price
Members of the super-team The Runaways, Karolina Dean and Nico Minoru, have found themselves in The Contest of Champions. Far from home and low on options they have teamed up with both The Summoner and a dark bargain from Dormammu. Will this deal be a fair trade of power and promises? Or will the daring duo find themselves with more than they bargained for? Find out AT ANY PRICE!
Side Quest – Vaults Of Variance
While researching new arrivals Nico and Karolina who managed to wander INTO The Contest, Reed Richards wanted to see if it was possible to recreate that mix of mystical and cosmic chaos to EXIT The Contest. While his findings were not conclusive, he did manage to open limited access to nearby pocket-dimensions which all contain vicious variants of the Fantastic Four themselves. These anomalies will require careful research and guarding. Luckily The Summoner is on the scene to gather samples and defeat foes.
To further protect his important science assistance, Reed Richards has activated some Fantastic Force Saga power for select Champions. This month many Champions may find themselves empowered with special abilities from the ever-lovin’ blue eyed Thing!
Wheel of Fate
Within the twisting confines of The Battlerealm, another Quest has surfaced. The defenders will be familiar, but your options will become more limited between the different difficulties of the Quest.
Wheel of Fate is a new challenge Quest that utilizes an upgrade to our swap nodes. Not only will Summoners need to swap out their Champion after each fight, but the Champions they can swap to will be restricted by Champion tags. Test your roster depth and knowledge in Wheel of Fate!
Captain Britain Double Track Event
Captain Britain has been reworked and is available for a limited time from the Platinum Track of a new Double Track Event! Complete challenges daily to unlock rewards and claim up to a 7-Star Reworked Captain Britain.
Solvarch Eidol Chase
A new Eidol has entered The Contest! Keep an eye out around The Battlerealm for Shatter Essence and collect it during the Fantastic FORCE Saga to trade in for the brand new Eidol, Solvarch!

Bug Fixes and Improvements
Ran a further optimization pass on the Jane Foster (Lotan) boss fight to reduce frame drop issues
Fixed a visual issue with Spiral’s Special 1 beam lingering after being auto-blocked
Sent The Leader to the optometrist so he could better read when his Opponent was activating a Special attack over the Green Door. Turns out geniuses can still have myopia
Fixed an issue with the “Steady Buildup” nodes where they would grant the Attacker benefits when they attempted to purify a Debuff, rather than when a Debuff was actually purified
Also fixed an issue with the “Steady Buildup” nodes in which their increased Defensive Ability Accuracy was itself subject to Ability Accuracy, which rather defeated the purpose.
Fixed an issue in which the “Root or Rooted” node would stop working for the rest of the fight when the Root was prevented by Ability Accuracy reduction
Fixed a visual issue with the “Personal Space” node displaying only half as much regeneration as it was actually granting
Fixed a visual issue with the Dexterity mastery displaying incorrect values in the Mastery Tree
Fixed an issue with the “Seeing Red” node not granting Furies to Debuffs removed by Immunities activating mid-fight
Fixed an issue with the Jane Foster (Lotan) boss fight where activating the Striker and the Special 3 at specific times would break the camera
Fixed an issue with Jane Foster (Lotan)’s Banished ability only removing one effect at a time (note that they will not gain more power when removing more effects)
Updated Jane Foster (Lotan)’s Maelstrom description to more closely align with its function
All of Jane Foster (Lotan)’s Special 1 hits will now correctly deal Energy damage
Fixed an issue with Quicksilver’s Whiplash bypassing Jane Foster (Lotan) damage cap
Fixed an issue with Spider-Ham losing the “opening joust” of a fight more often than other champions
Fixed an issue with the “SCOURGE: Cleanse” node in which it could incorrectly cleanse Severe Debuffs
Fixed an issue with Arnim Zola incorrectly gaining increased Combat Power Rate from one specific Inexorable node
Fixed a visual issue with Platinumpool disappearing during run-in while auto-fight was enabled. HEY! If the Summoner doesn’t feel like they have to pay attention to the fight, why should I?
Fixed an issue with Phoenix’s Heavy attack missing the correct visual effects
Fixed an issue with Sentry not gaining any extra attack from his Critical Damage rating, restoring the equivalent of approximately 23,482 exploding suns
Gave the Sentry some extra hugs, allowing him to properly remove the effects of Fear of the Void (from his Void synergy) from his Opponent when the Passive expires
Fixed an issue where a number of nodes disabling dexterity where not interacting correctly with all forms of dexterity (specifically Okoye’s – this is similar to the previous fix with Photon)
Introduced Scream to Red Bull, allowing her to gain Undermine from Energize Buffs while at max stacks as well as from her other Symbiote Buffs
Fixed a typo that had been preventing an Easter Egg on Spider-Man (Stealth Suit) from firing. Happy hunting!
Fixed an issue where Dark Phoenix would remain permanently unkillable when her Immortality Buff was Nullified or Staggered but then the Passive was prevented by Ability Accuracy Reduction (Already Live)
Fixed an issue with Dark Phoenix’s Immortality where in rare cases both the Passive and Buff forms could trigger in the same fight
Fixed a visual issue with Abomination (Immortal) describing his answer to the Inequity Mastery as weaker than it actually is
Explained to Okoye that the Dora Milaje do not have jurisdiction over the Prestige leaderboard, reverting her temporarily elevated PI rating
Fixed an issue with Rintrah becoming indefinitely Rooted if the Opponent used a Special 3 while he had 20 Mystical Charges
Fixed an issue with Phoenix’s Attuma Synergy not properly granting her charges on Heavy Attacks
