The “Virtua Fighter Open Championship” is coming with a grand prize of $100,000!
GET BACK IN THE FIGHT!
SEGA will be holding the first official “VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship” (VFOC) global tournament starting this May; featuring “Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.”!
The VFOC will have participants fight it out in qualifiers held across four regions: North America, Europe, Japan, and Asia (excluding Japan). The first qualifying tournament will kick-off in North America at 'COMBO BREAKER 2025' from Friday, May 23rd – Sunday, May 25th, 2025.
Players who win their regional qualifier will be awarded a spot to compete in the Grand Finals where the winner will receive a grand prize of $100,000.
Details of the qualifying tournaments and the participation rules will be updated on the Virtua Fighter portal site as necessary, so please stay tuned for further updates.
