The final Beyond The Long Night playtest ahead of launch is now live!

The Final Beyond The Long Night Playtest is now live!
The time has nearly nearly upon us for our full launch! But you still have one final chance to enjoy the game before then! Simply head to the Beyond The Long Night store page and sign up to the final playtest ahead of the April 17th launch!
Everyone who has signed up will automatically have access to the playtest. If you have not signed up and would like the chance to participate, simply go to the store page and click the "join playtest button"

you will find a whole host of new content in this playtest, from bug fixes, balance changes to a new map area and new enemies and upgrades! Keep reading to the end for a full breakdown of what has been added.

MAP

New area unlocked - Hope's Peak
New enemies
New environmental hazards
New rooms in every biome
Made one of the Temple egg rooms easier to move through
Updated the layout of Eebi's farm
New Kickstarter cows

UPGRADES

New upgrade theme Smelly Cow - upgrades themed around toxic gas
New upgrade theme Pocket Healer - upgrades themed around healing
New upgrade theme Suspicious Mushroom - upgrades themed around randomness
Buff: the flame thrower now shoots further
Buff: Self Destruct spawns a Bullet Storm effect on the exploding balloon, in addition to the explosion
Buff: Shield Generator shields now last longer
Extra life will no longer kill the player if they only have one max health left
Fix for weird behavior when using Body Slam whilst holding a weighted cube

GAME MODES

Iron hat mode no longer spawns dud health collectibles from chests and enemies
Made upgrades spawn much more frequently in Iron hat mode
You now have to complete an encore run to unlock Iron Hat mode

AUDIO

New ambiences
New sounds when the player activates an extra life
New sounds for the little bird on the egg
New sounds on worms
New sounds on bumbleflys
New sounds on toxic and fire enemy projectiles
New sounds on throwable bombs
New UI sounds
New sounds when a shield recharges
New music behavior in the player death sequence
Fixed the sync on the player death sounds
Fixed music transition bugs in the first few rooms of the Temple and Ice biomes

Fix for map icons sometimes appearing extremely large
Removed trailer at the end of the game
