Release timing, pricing, and the future of the Golden Idol series

We have some news to share ahead of the game’s launch next week regarding release timing, pricing, and future plans.
Release Timing
The Rise of the Golden Idol will be releasing worldwide on all platforms November 12, 2024 @10AM PST.
The Nintendo Switch release has been hit with an unexpected delay in a few territories and will now be releasing on November 14, 2024 @ 10AM PST.
Pricing & Looking Forward
The Rise of the Golden Idol will be launching at $19.99 or Steam's regional recommended equivalent. For the first week we will also be offering a 10% launch discount, so take advantage of that before it is gone.
Additionally - today we are announcing that we will be continuing to support The Rise of the Golden Idol throughout 2025 with new content. There are a ton of additional standalone stories we want to tell set in the Golden Idol universe, and we found that the best way to tell these stories is through four self-contained DLC chapters - called Investigations.
Similar to the DLC released for The Case of the Golden Idol, these are optional side content and are not required to conclude the story in The Rise of the Golden Idol. Rather, these are for fans who want more puzzles, more characters, and more mysteries to solve. Each of the four Investigations chapters will include at least four new cases to solve. On top of the base game’s 20 scenarios - that is a lot of sleuthing.
Our roadmap has a sneak peak at the first Investigations chapter and when you can expect all future content to drop.
These will be available for sale individually as they release for $5.99 or as part of the Detective's Pass, a discounted pack of all four chapters and the complete soundtrack for $17.99. We will also be offering a permanent stacking discount for owners of The Case of the Golden Idol, so that you can pick up The Rise of the Golden Idol and all future content at an even cheaper price.
