Once again, we can’t say it enough: thank you to everyone who's taken the time to participate in the closed beta for our latest VR game, HexWind HexWind! Go check it out if you haven't yet!
We've got some exciting updates fresh out of the oven, and we’ll be sharing in more detail what’s recently released, and what’s coming up.
Your feedback has been amazing, and it's helping us shape the game into something truly special, adna REAL combat challenge! Here's what's new this week, and of course, we’d love if our Beta group could check them out and give us their thought:

New features already live:
Chaos Lord Just Got... Chaotic-er?
The Chaos Lord (you know, the big boss in the beta) has upped his game thanks to some recent updates. Now, when his sword hits the ground, he creates arcane beams that shoot outwards like the Chaos Crystal. Translation: A more unforgiving challenge we hope leads to more epic battles in your beta experience.

New Spell: Lightning Strike
This nifty new spell automatically fires a lightning bolt whenever you shoot your wand, giving you an extra zap in combat.
Handy New UI Elements
We heard you loud and clear—keeping track of stats and upgrades was a bit tricky. So, we've added new UI elements! Now, when you hit pause, you'll see your character stats, items, and upgrades all neatly displayed. Knowledge is power, so we’ll be continuing to work hard on making our UI and HUD as helpful (and as seamless) as possible
Smooth Turn Option
For those of you who prefer smooth turning, we’ve added that option in the player settings. Access it from the pause menu to choose between Snap and Smooth turning.
Explore New Areas in the Catacombs Zone
Cavern of Woe: Venture into this mysterious new area filled with secrets and challenges, although you may need to upgrade your magical abilities to do so.
Hall of Mourning: The final resting place for many of the order’s fallen heroes, now contains powerful malevolent reanimated horrors.
We can't wait to hear about your adventures in these new areas, and of course, we look forward to yet more environment releases we’ve got coming next week!

Boosting the Rogue-lite Experience and Replayability
One of our most important priorities is to continually dial up the rogue-lite game elements to make each run feel unique and exciting! Here’s what’s in development and arriving soon:
Player Blessings V1: These are run-specific upgrades that stack as you continue - they reset each time you start a new quest or path.
Unlockable Wind Magic Upgrades: Soon, you’ll be able to unlock abilities like dash, double jump, and extra charges of wind magic during your run. We know these will help you customize your playstyle and find new ways to navigate the world!
New mini-bosses: We can’t wait for you to check out our new enemy types, including our Void Initiate, a floating mini-boss enemy that can cast many flaming skull heads to seek and destroy you.
These features will add more depth and replayability, so every time you play, there's something new to experience.
