New World Update 1.8.2

New World Update 1.8.2 downtime will begin at 11:00PM PT (7:00AM UTC) on February 7 and includes the launch of Leaderboards. This new feature celebrates player achievements across more than 50 categories.

Finish at the top of select weekly or quarterly Leaderboard categories for exclusive skins and titles.
Temporarily disabled Open World Kills Leaderboard while we resolve an issue.
Outpost Rush Heals currently do not match their Leaderboard. We are working on a fix.
WORLD EXPERIENCE
NOTABLE FIXES
Fixed an issue where a player could sometimes slide to gain extra speed and distance while crouched.
Fixed an issue where players could dive farther than intended.
EXPEDITIONS
Updated enemies in the quest "Justice For The Dynasty" to one of the final lieutenants in the Dynasty Shipyard Expedition.
QUESTS
Updated Scourge of Aeon Madness quest to re-grant the required recipe on quest reset.
Fixed an issue that prevented players from completing Faction Kill Missions.
Fixed an issue that prevented players from completing the Salting The Earth quest.
Mining the ore now completes the Miner's Keeper quest.
Fixed an issue that caused Sneed's Revenge event to not respawn correctly in Preiddeu Farms.
Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred when interacting with Barkimedes.
COMBAT CHANGES
WEAPONS
Hatchet: Fixed an issue that allowed players to always move at sprint speed.
Life Staff: Fixed an issue that caused ability perks to not function when using the Bile Bomb Heartrune.
Musket: Fixed an exploit that allowed a second shot to be fired without reloading.
PERKS
Fixed an issue that caused the Purity of Light Life Staff perk to not properly heal targets when a debuff was cleansed.
GAME MODES
NOTABLE FIXES
Re-enabled the penalty for players that quit in-progress Arenas and Outpost Rush matches.
ECONOMY, PROGRESSION & GEAR
REWARDS/LOOT
Increased the drop rate for Juniper Berries from 50% per loot drop to 100%.
Removed a total of 28 Sarcophagi and Large Chests throughout Brimstone Sands to address global economy concerns.

NOTABLE FIXES
Fixed the stretching on the Legion Sand Cloak armor.
Fixed a visual issue with the Azure Dragon armor skin.
Fixed an issue that caused the Dragon’s Hoard January Prime Gaming Loot to contain no loot.
Fixed an issue where the Mystic Sting Hatchet had the incorrect Strength attribute bonus.
UX/UI/SOCIAL
COMPANIES
Governors are no longer able to Switch their current Company’s Faction.
NOTABLE FIXES
Updated Faction chat filter icon.
TRADING POST
Fixed an issue that caused the Trading Post "Can Equip" filter to not show all item rarities when close to max level.
