İzleyici Lansmanından Beş Gün Sonra

Hey slugcats,
I’m Joseph, but some of you know me as riv otter, and I’m the community manager for Akupara Games. Rain World was actually where I got my start for community management with Rain World Art Month and Anniversary events!
Hope you have been enjoying playing Rain World: The Watcher. Exploring the new mechanics that the Watcher brings with them to traverse through the hazardous regions.
I do want to take the opportunity to speak about some of the plans for the future of The Watcher.
Bugfixes
If you’ve ever wondered who goes through all the feedback and bug reports after a big release like this one– well, the answer is me!. I do want to thank you for your patience on this as we are a small indie team and going through all the reports and investigating each of them is going to take us a bit of time. Our plans is to keep patching as rapidly as possible to solve issues and add more qualities of life options for players. At a certain point in a few weeks, we’ll be a little quieter as things get in gear for our console updates.
Post-release Content
Even as we speak, the developer team is energized with ideas and we’re organizing them for release both in the short and long-term.. Our short term priorities include additions like those bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements I mentioned above while long term priorities include additions like James mentioned a few weeks ago– the final endings and other cryptic secrets. We’re looking to start dropping patches with some of that content in about a week and we can’t for you to experience them.
I would like to talk about them a bit but the developer team, specifically James, would send the wrath of 1,000s of blizzard lizards and barnacles to my house if I made even the tiniest peep. May even send rain as well to add insult to injury…
Consoles
I’ve seen a lot of questions about consoles, so here is an update: The DLC is definitely coming out this year on consoles with plans to release within six months. There’s always trouble porting Rain World onto the Nintendo Switch because of the nature of the hardware constraints but we’ve done it before and we’ll do it again. If Switch delays the console ports too much, we may end up pushing just Switch to a later date.
Either way, we’re looking to release a lot more Watcher content this spring and summer!
I’ll have more to share once the next patch comes out, but until then– thank you all so much for another amazing launch!
