Devlog 55: ⭐ 3 Devlogs Until the 1.3 Update
Only three more devlogs until the 1.3 Update goes live! 🎉 If you’ve been following along, you know that we need to keep the date a secret a little longer. So, we are counting down devlogs instead. 🥰
On another note. Next week, on April 25th, Roots of Pacha turns 2! It’s been quite a journey, and we’re so glad you could be there with us! The best part of making this game is reading supportive comments from players who are enjoying what we created. It is an honor to bring joy to so many people, especially when the world feels dark at times. Thank you for being a light in our days as well.
To celebrate Roots of Pacha turning 2, we’re doing an AMA over on Reddit next week, Friday, April 25th, at 10 AM PDT / 9 PM CEST! The AMA will be hosted on the r/rootsofpacha subreddit, and you can start asking us questions a few days in advance if you won’t be able to participate when the actual AMA goes live.
Now that we’re in the party mood, this devlog will be about the two new festivals! One Mograni and one Yakuan. Spoilers going forward for themes, dates, a couple of screenshots, and a mini-game.
Now, on to the devlog!
Festival of Lune
This Yakuan festival celebrates the second Child of Pacha, Lune, the moon. It is during this festival we honor our ancestors and thank them for all they went through to ensure our existence.
Once you complete the caves and are invited to the Yakuan lands you will also be invited to this all-important festival on Spring 8. There you can chat with everyone and play a traditional game of “ball.”
Festival of Quro
This Mograni festival celebrates Pacha’s first child, Quro, the sun, and the “inner fire” he gifted to humanity. It is here that the leaders must prove their dedication to Quro and demonstrate their ability to lead through strength.
Once you are invited to the Mograni lands, you will be invited to this festival on Spring 26. There, you will get to chat with everyone and play a game they call “ball.”
Ball
Ball is an ancient pastime similar to what future people might call foosball. This simplified version pits two players against each other in stiff competition.
We can’t wait to celebrate the release of the update with you! Thanks for sticking with us!
Keep looking to the stars, and we’ll see you in the next devlog!
You rock!
