Devlog 46: ❄️🌴New Regions

Access the Tundra region and Turtle Islands where the Mograni and Yakuans live

Hi, lovely Pachans! We’re back for another Pachan Prophecy! We hope you had a wonderful holiday. We've rested and recharged, ready to continue work on the 1.3 update for you all 🙂
Today, we’ll explore the two new regions. We don’t think we are giving too much away here, but spoilers may be ahead depending on how “fresh” you want to go into the update.
We’ve already met some characters outside our clan, like Touk, Vallah, and Zeda from the Mograni, the people of the fire-loving northwest of The Land. As well as Krak, Brub, and Inza from the Yakuans, the people of the sea-loving south of The Land. But we’ve never seen where they actually live and come from - until now.

After completing the Forest Caves, Inza and Zeda will invite you to their camps, each asking for a small favor. So, just like other updates in the past, no “new” saves will need to be created to enjoy this content.
Explore the lands of the Mograni and Yakuans by traveling to their camps and visiting their sub-regions. You’ll discover new seeds, animals, their culture, and if you wish, play mini-games such as “Dice” in the Tundra or perform a song on the Turtle Islands. The Mograni and Yakuans have heard about what your clan has accomplished, and each has a new Idea they would like your help with. Then, as you complete more of the main story (if you haven’t already), an additional Idea will arise in each area.

When designing the regions, we wanted them to reflect their more spread-out nature and how that contrasts with the life the Pachans live. For example, the Mograni “follow power,” so their Leader, Zeda, and the clan’s spiritual advisor, Anda, sleep alone in a Cave on a hill. While most of the Mograni prefer to sleep “independently” in tents.
As for the Yakuans, they follow “tradition” but are slightly more community-driven. They have something a little similar to the Pacha Hearth, where people gather. However, unlike the Pachans, they live spread out and rarely interact with one another.
Relatively little is known about our ancient history, which leaves a lot of room for imagination. When we take inspiration from the past for our new regions, we like to imagine what a collective history might look like and how it could be shaped by the cultures of the clans we’re creating.
We hope you’ll enjoy the new regions—we’re so excited to share them with you! In the next Pachan Prophecy, we’ll talk more in detail about the new animals we’re introducing.
Until then, take care, and thank you for being amazing!
You Rock
