I've been playing this game more or less all my life, ever since it came out on floppy disks for the family 486-DX (20 mHz processor, 8 mb RAM, Soundblaster 16 sound card, 200 mb hard drive and a 256 colour monitor that weighed in at a long ton). It's great. Apart from the successor Terror from the Deep, there is nothing quite like it. A perfect blend of the early 90s' Zeitgeist and, for that time, cutting-edge gameplay.
Keep in mind that the Steam version is limited by legacy and compatibility bugs, but purchasing it enables the use of its assets in community bug-free mods. It can be a hassle to figure out how to run these old games properly on current hardware, but I am a relic from a bygone age and happy to make the effort. Maximum gratitude to the tech-savvy enthusiasts that keep these games alive.
