I absolutely adore the concept of a fighting game with characters of two completely different universes (actually more, because Capcom characters aren't all in the same universe). It really feels like a childhood dream come true, when you was watching fan animations on YT of Mario and Sonic fighting each other, but here it is Dante and Deadpool instead.
However, I don't think that I would stick to this game for too long, because I severely dislike some of the gameplay stuff.
First of all, it's almost impossible to find an opponent with the same rank as yours. The game is more than a decade old, so of course it won't be getting 30k daily online like Street Fighter 6. Sometimes there are no players online whatsoever, so if you want to fight AT LEAST SOMEBODY, you're forced to remove all the restrictions of ranking and region, and pray to god that you will find at least one living human soul. And even if you do, you're in for a one hell of a ride, because it will very likely be a huge nerd with a 6th lord rank or some sh*t, and you will perish before you know it.
That leads us to the second annoying as hell gameplay peculiarity. Infinite combo loops. I absolutely hate them. Because if you play against the opponent that knows what he's doing, if you get hit just once, it will very likely mean that the game is already over for you. You'll just get comboed till the end of times without a single ability to do something about it. This feature is so unfair and annoying that it just makes me wanna quit this game and never come back. Or at least never touch online ever again. I hope that if we will ever see the new MVC game, this feature either will be completely removed (which is probably not gonna happen, because there are quite a few people that like it), or at least made an option, because I have absolutely zero desire to deal with it. I want MVC to be enjoyable for both nerds and more casual players that just want to hop on a quick match or two, because playing with bots forever doesn't quite cut it.
