okay really quick i guess its basically bad, the houses in skyrim were fiiiine but a bit uninspired before, this one lets you build a house in some of the holds that dont have big cities. its a massive grind of resources and doesnt allow you nearly as much customisation as you'd hope, its more of a checklist of stuff to build into a room whih in a normal skyrim house would be cheaper and quicker... but you can fast travel there!
dont get excited like i did and build the enchanting tower thinking youd get a cool tower, its about as wide as a toilet bowl and you cant even climb the tower from inside it, dogwater. once youve built an extension you cant knock it down either. also the enchanting tower can ONLY be on the left side, the library ONLY on the right... why cant i choose which tower is what? why cant i build an enchanting ROOM instead of a TOWER or vice versa? little to no customisation. cool that you can hire people like a carriage driver and a bard! itd be cool to have a much bigger place and hire chefs, servants, guards etc. i had two adopted kids and one of them had 600 baskets in his inventory so i couldnt give him any gifts? the mannequins also duplicate armour so i ended up with a bunch of copies of unique expensive gear like dragon masks. lol i guess! glad i tried it but kind of mid
