The art is incredible, but the puzzles and writing are rather uninteresting.
First: The BIGGEST issue with the game is the interaction wheel. Most of it is just a waste and I truly believe it was a total detriment to the game for it's addition. There should be no reason to talk to an inanimate object, which is 99% what you'll be clicking on. You also cant take most items, which makes sense, but that means the choice is pointless to have. It was a waste of my time using and the developers time making it. There's so much fluff-text, that a few hours into the game, I would just stop reading all text through the wheel altogether and just click all the options to see if something happened. Its annoying and it would've been actually better to simply remove it entirely. A lot of great point-and-click games have single button press prompts and I think that would've just been better as this game already has an incredible style and vibe to keep me interested.
Second: there were several times that, if you didn't remember specific symbols, were rather unintuitive and requiring you to brute force if you forgot something. There's no escape button once you're in certain puzzles, so because you cant back out, your only choice is to solve the puzzle because you're locked in until that puzzle is finished.
Third: The writing was riddled with typos and often many characters just had their names mispelled. it would really throw me out of the flow often and I want to say that it might've just been an oversight from the developer due to the massive bloat of unnecessary text in the game.
This game's story is probably really cool, but the egregious typos and useless text made me really feel like my time was being wasted. I loved the style, premise, and vibe of the game, but for the last 3 times I've booted this game up, I've just been so uninterested to finish it.
