I only truly felt the joy I normally do when playing an oddworld game when I played alf's escape, clever and funny puzzles. In this DLC. it felt like I was playing through a small slice of that oddworld game I always wanted to be made over the past decade or so.
I'm guessing what happened here was that the devs wanted to show us what they could do if no holds were barred and they wouldn't be following the level design of one of their first game, rather putting to use all their experience and just making the best oddworld level they could (as opposed to remaking something old) I know how they musta felt, remaking is hard work psychologically because you always want to just make something new ('n' tasty).
I'll say they did a marvelous job here, it felt a bit like the first time I played Abe's Exoddus. And that's a real compliment.
I definitely recommend this DLC, it was worth every dime. A top notch oddworld experience. Now all I want to see is a remake of Exoddus, and a third entry to the game series to either extend or put a real end to Abe's story.
Good job oddworld inhabitants! can't wait to see your next game!
