Edit
@ review clearly aimed at me: of course all the items in this dlc are over powerred compared to items and weapons in the base game, bosses could be murdered with those spells combinations with or without this dlc, but even though they are over powered each of them do have fairly large flaws affecting them so they are kida fair compared to the base game, i stand by my review
--------------------------------------
I am enjoying the items given by this dlc, the scenario challenge things it adds are interesting and fun,
Death Apprentice Robe, Grimnir Reaper Staff and The Dead Man's Hand weapon. Ultimate death murder, just don't ask friends for heals!, Dead man's hand- deals death damage to the user, so essentially a close combat weapon that heals you on smacks., staff insanely boosts damage done by death spells and poison spells, robes insane protection against poison spells, hand hitting poison and cold damage, so your an insane death and poison killing machine
Scavenger Robe, Staff of Detection and the Ol’ Trusty Rusty Revolver, now I have not seen Mad Max but I'm taking that this is going in the Mad Max reference along with the Insane Maxi boss fight. Robes this time healed by poison and when you die you explode (boom <3) , Staff boosts your lightning spells (zap) and a revolver- long range weapon that deals poison damage (shame it cannot be enchanted)
Robe of Riviera, a Crow Staff and a Silver Longsword.
These robes..fuck me... Protection from all elements... hah fight me, shame it doesn't protect against all status effects, just chilled. but to be honest who needs it, still trying to work out what "can go beyond walls" means though...
crow staff massive bonus to cold and earth spells
silver longsword however is great, medium damage w/ medium knock-back, AND IT ONE SHOTS FUCKING TROLLS, YES TROLLS YOU KNOW THE GIANT SCARY THINGS IN CHAPTER 4,5 ETC IT ONE FUCKING SHOTS THEM
as for the scenarios and boss fights,
I played the Protect the King challenge with 4 people, the king randomly vanished half way through making the challenge a lot lot easier
I played the Insane Maxi challenge as well (first of all Borderlands reference in the name, we all know Mad Moxi) My only issue with this was we played it 4 players, the boss battle is extremely fast to add to the challenge, but the map is way way way to big for a 4 player team, we all kept loosing our characters in the sea of goblins and massive explosions, it is a very very well designed boss fight (and very very hard even on normal mode, we had to make a tactical retreat)
Defiantly looking forward to playing the other scenarios and boss fights brought in by this dlc and I strongly recommend it to any magicka 2 player looking for a challenge and some fun stuff to mess around with
again would prefer if there were unlocks for the given items, all of the players I have played with enjoy getting unlocks, (bragging rights don't mean anything, plays need proof!)
(also the new magiks that seem to have appeared in the same update as this dlc came in are great, hats off to paradox)
