This Napoleonic war chaos simulator is probably the fps or tps that's all about fun. There's nothing like the tension of missing that one shot you had and not having 13 seconds to reload your musket and you're now being chased by an enemy in melee.

You don't need to get to a certain level to be enjoyable. No one on your team is going to upset at you because you k/d ratio isn't up to the level they'd like you to be. Because nobody cares. Just learn how the bullet drops and your shots will usually hit. When the server is running at the full 150 players, people who are "really good" will somehow get shot from all directions just like you would probably be also getting shot at. Everybody has a chance to kill everybody in any given game within the chaos. I think that's the beauty of it.

It's a great game. Multiplayer servers are difficult to join quickly after the EU servers go down for the night, and presumably same with after NA goes down, but I'm and NA player and I've never stayed up playing that long to know. If you're interested in buying for Frontlines, don't. It typically has around 3 players on, and maybe 10-15 if its after NA or EU shuts down. In my opinion, the best way to play is to join a regiment. I joined one the 2nd day I got the game, because I got bored of being just another random on the battlefield. Joining a regiment taught me many valuable things about the game, like how to melee better, the best weapons, how to shoot more accurately, how to be effective on artillery, etc. You will need discord to join most regiments though. I don't even know of a regiment that doesn't use discord. Also if your not going to buy the game or are not interested in joining a regiment, excuse the following recruitment message from the regiment I am a part of, that being The King's Own:

I, like many others, stumbled upon this game by chance. I never expected much from it, to be completely honest. However, after some hours of gameplay, I also stumbled upon what I now consider a friend, who invited me to a "regiment" (which is one of the many communities dedicated to this game, for those unaware). Were it not for the community and laughs, the moments of frustration when you realize that you're not great at melee and get dunked by a child with 2000 hours in the game, and the people you meet who you wouldn't have met otherwise, I would have asked for a refund.
The game on its own could be described as, and I quote, "the biggest piece of dogshit." For a game of less than 50 GB, its optimization is nonexistent, meaning that a decent PC will not give you 60 FPS on high settings. Anvil Game Studios has made it clear that they would rather create 3,467,236 billion more maps than try to add any balancing mechanics or improvements into the game proper. (On that note, I might add that they've also tried to blame part of the player base for their shortcomings, which knowing the percapita neurons of the player base it's funny and pathetic.) Therefore, the playability for new players can be challenging if you don't stumble upon some experienced shoulders to lean on.
This brings me back to the player base; it’s the most mixed bag one could ever expect. I've met some amazing people in my short time with this game (about a year as of writing this review). However, there’s also the fact that the public lobby chats hold the world record for slurs said per minute without any repercussions. If you happen to be mistreated on your journey through this game, AGS will surely help—oh, no, they’re just licking a streamer's boots (definitely boots, by the way) again. *Sigh* Oh well, I’m sure they’d listen to the community’s ideas on how to improve the game, wouldn’t they?
Even though there’s an entire Discord channel dedicated to this, they might as well name it "Paper Shredder" instead of "Suggestions," since nothing you write will be read by anything other than other people trying to suggest something else.
Even though at heart I’m a pessimist, I cannot deny that if you’re willing to go through all of that (not that it’s as terrible if you’re not planning on becoming an active player), there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. This scuffed game has provided me with a lot of fun, with its questionable melee system that I can exploit because I live a continent away from where the servers are, and because some of the other shenanigans it can be entertaining.
overall, this game is not worth any money, in fact they should pay me to play this (insert prefered word for excrement), btw, Danish is not a real language. Las malvinas son argentinas. and some one please tell Donald to stop.
