I'd honestly consider this DLC ESSENTIAL and I'm not just saying that as a big Godzilla fan lol Godzilla, Gigan, Mechagodzilla (Kiryu) and Destoroyah all add great gameplay to GigaBash and are solid choices from the Godzilla pantheon (I mean, Godzilla is a given obviously) for a fighter like this.
Godzilla is as strong and powerful as you'd expect him while a bit on the slow side, but that's to be expected. You can charge his atomic ray to several levels of 'strength', use his nuclear pulse to repel nearby foes, hits hard with his tail and can even do his infamous slide kick from Godzilla vs. Megalon lol his S-class form even turns him into Burning Godzilla from Godzilla vs. Destoroyah, which is a great touch!
Gigan is faster but more limited in range, only really having his laser to rely on for distance. But his hammerclaws can put the hurt on, his buzzsaw can inflict a bleed effect that damages over time and he even has a teleport ambush attack straight out of the old fighting games! He's a little more fragile than his fellow Godzilla kaiju I find though, so hit hard and move fast.
Mechagodzilla (based on his Millennium era incarnation, Kiryu) is unusual in that they're primarily a ranged fighter, with two energy bars for his regular and special attacks. These bars deplete the more of these respective attacks you use and will recharge when you're not using said attacks, so it's important to alternate between the two. Kiryu can fire the railguns on his wrist, shoot rockets and missiles from his pack, charge up the maser cannons in his mouth or, with more charging, the Absolute Zero cannon in his chest, freezing targets solid. You can even activate his rocket boosters to hover around while in midair!
Finally, Destoroyah. One of Godzilla's most monstrous and powerful opponents and GigaBash doesn't disappoint. Destoroyah is an absolute BEAST, attacking with their horn slicer, blasts of their micro-oxygen beam and even grabbing opponents with their pincer-tipped tail to drain their health and energy. One of these tail attacks even drags foes behind Destoroyah as they fly along, replicating the scene from Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. Definitely one of the most forimdable kaiju in the game.
Honestly, if this little review hasn't convinced you, I don't know what will. The kaiju have all been done justice, playing like they came straight out of their films and featuring numerous mannerisms and abilities all taken from their screen appearances. It's a fantastic tribute to the King of the Monsters and his fellow kaiju.
