I still remember this DLC leaving a lot of players feeling less than satisfied when it was first released back in the day. Objectively speaking, this DLC did have a lack of content, some of which was slightly empty and a bit boring. However, when Ringed City was subsequently released, looking back on it changed some of my views on the DLC. If you look at this DLC on its own, it does seem a bit lacking in sincerity; however, if you look at it in conjunction with the Ringed City DLC, you'll find that this DLC has a very unique flavor. In my opinion, it plays a key role in expanding the worldview of the DS as well as adding to the plot, especially when you return to DLC1 after finishing DLC2 to trigger the last part of the storyline, you'll really be impressed by the ending. In this cold and decaying world, perhaps one day The Lady will be able to paint a dark, cold, yet gentle and calm painting, creating a new world that will be a place for someone to stay in the time after the gods have fallen, after the fire has been extinguished.
