As someone who was really looking forward to this collection, I was very disappointed to learn this was instead gonna be comprised of only the Arcade versions, meaning none of the console stuff that helped make these games even more Legendary than they already were and added a little replay value are here. I don't think I'll be buyin future collections if we're just gonna keep getting the bare bones versions of these game, it's 2025 now, surely you guys can make a definitive version of these games that not only has that Arcade feel but also all the stuff consoles added to help push them even higher.
The online in this collection, like others have said, will be dead in a few weeks and once that happens it's just wasted money, one other reason for that bein there's also no Cross-play, which while that doesn't fix the problem it definitely would've helped. Maybe it's a hot take but I'll say it one last time.
As someone who LOVES CVS2 and Alpha 3, seeing them both relegated to their bare bones Arcade counter parts really hurts, and even if someones says "Well I never used those modes so it doesn't matter." or "Well it's an Arcade collection and those weren't in the Arcades." point is the OPTION was still there for those that wanted to use them, being ok with accepting less is how the industry got to where it is today. Just because it's a fighting game, doesn't mean we should be ok with the bare minimum even if it's an "Arcade experience".
